Legacy

The stories that hold a family together are usually told once, in a kitchen, and never written down. Reflections keeps them — in the voice of the person who lived them, for the generations who come next.

When the person at the centre of the story can tell it themselves, Reflections centres on their voice: their turns of phrase, their pauses, the way they laugh halfway through a sentence. Family can join the conversation or simply listen.

When someone has already passed, we gather the story from the people who loved them — their recollections, letters and photographs — and hold it together with the same care. What changes is who speaks, not how gently it is done.

Good to know

Is Reflections available yet?: Not yet. Reflections is underway, but it is not open for purchase. Joining early access registers your interest and means we can email you as things progress.
Who is it for?: Any family, anywhere, who wants their story kept. Some families record a living parent or grandparent; others gather memories from relatives for someone who has passed.
What happens when I join?: We store your email address, and your first name if you give one, so we can send occasional early-access updates. That is all we collect at this stage.
Will my family be involved?: Yes. You invite relatives to contribute their own recollections, photographs and voices to the same story.
Who will own the story?: The family owns its story and material, with private access controlled by you. We publish the full terms before opening for purchase.

What we collect today

This is draft information describing only what the early-access form on this page actually does right now. It is not a finished or approved privacy policy, and we replace it with full terms before opening for purchase.

What is storedYour email address, your first name if you choose to give one, the fact that you ticked the consent box, the date and time you signed up, and a one-way hashed form of the network address your submission came from, used to limit repeat submissions and abuse. A hashed address is not the same as anonymous data: it is derived from your connection and can be matched against the same connection again.
WhyThe email, name and consent record let us contact you about Reflections early access. The timestamp and hashed address exist only for abuse prevention. No family stories, photographs or recordings are gathered on this page.
Where it is heldIn a private database table that the public website cannot read, update or delete. Signups are written only by the server behind this form.
Third partiesNo advertising, analytics or marketing tools are connected to this page, and no early-access emails have been sent yet.
